Landlords and soon to be landlords, yes this pandemic has changed everything! However, it appears processes will become more systematic. In Washington, DC the process for submitting Housing Choice Voucher (formerly known as Section 8) applications are streamlined to allow submissions virtually. The process may be tedious if you miss one page of the packet. However, I've represented clients whom were participants on both sides of the transaction as tenants and landlords. This process may definitely be completed within 30 days. I've created three YouTube videos that explains each page of the packet and even submitted links where the landlord may receive an electronic copy of their deed to submit with the packet. Be advised you will need to also include a copy of your Social Security card and banking information of where you will like your payments to be sent. Any questions?
